Richard Alvin Mouzon was born September 26, 1936, in Atlanta, Georgia to Waldon Mouzon and Maude Bell Leek. He was the fifth of six children.
Richard worked as chauffeur with Montag and then went on to retire, after 25 years, as a bus driver for MARTA. He was known to keep an immaculate lawn and operated a lawn care business, Exterior Decorators, that serviced many businesses, neighbors and friends in the area.
Richard began studying with Jehovah’s Witnesses and got baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1983. He married Denise Burwell on July 25, 1987. Together they served Jehovah faithfully until his passing.
Richard’s favorite quote was “each one teach one.” Known as a father to all. He did not hesitate to tell his “children” exactly what was on his mind. He also had a love for motorcycles, collecting toy trains and refurbishing cars.
Richard was preceded in death by both his parents as well as his siblings Waldon Mouzon, Jr. , Wendell Mouzon and Mae Mouzon. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 37 years Denise; his sisters Vernice Mouzon (99) and Joyce Mouzon (90); and his daughters Toni Dyer (CM) and Angela Kelly (Nigel) ; and his son Vincent Mouzon (Shani); eight grandchildren Nicolas, Aaron, Alex, Andrew, London, Donovan, Sean and Scott; one great grandson Kobe; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
